Doctrine of the “Badge of Honor” Project

The IACA does not award famous names.

It honors those whom nobody knows — ordinary people who quietly and daily do the impossible. Each badge is accompanied by the story of the volunteer — their story becomes part of the living chronicle of humanity during war.

The Badge of Honor is also a tool of people’s diplomacy. A foreigner holding an award made from Ukrainian casings feels something that cannot be conveyed in words. It is a touch of reality. Of something genuine. Of something human.

The casing became an award. The award became memory. The Badge lives.
